New York is a city on the east coast of the United States of America (Atlantic coast).
The New York city we’re used to seeing in movies, is the famous Manhattan, one of five municipal boroughs of the city.
The other townships are NYC Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx and Staten Island.
The metropolitan area of the great NYC has about 22 million inhabitants, so the largest U.S. city, and one of the largest in the world.
Manhattan is actually an island, and if you don’t leave Manhattan, you will always be on a island during your stay.
It is in Manhattan that much of the city’s tourist activity takes place, it is here that will get most of your time of your holidays in New York.
